I had my usual fight with FrontPage insisting that the web pages look different in Foxfire and Safari, which is bloody annoying to say the least but typical of a Microsoft programme. God forbid that it’s compatible with another manufacturer’s software.
++++
Didn’t do much over the weekend, still not feeling 100% - aches and pains all over. Must be an age thing; what with that and my knee I’m slowly falling apart.
Sunday we visited Soho House in Handsworth, the home of industrialist Matthew Bolton. It was here that the Lunar Society often met, so called because the meetings were arranged to coincide with the full moon – it being much safer to travel home by moonlight.
Wandering around it seemed strange to walk through rooms that some of the most important scientists, engineers and thinkers of the time had met and discussed things in, things that we now take for granted, such as electricity.
Then on to Birmingham city centre to wander around Brindleyplace, we did originally think of visiting the Sealife Centre, that is until we saw the 3 hour queue. Who in their right mind stands outside in the pouring rain with screaming kids for 3 hours? The queue was no shorter on the way back to the car hours later, and still people where joining the end of it.
We eventually found the Museum and Art Gallery, where after nearly two hours we’d only seen 6 rooms – it’s massive. So somewhere else to visit again as we had to get home to pick youngest up from work.
One of the Soho House Sphinxes. The pair, plus three urns, cost Bolton £30.00.
It amazes me that neither of these places charge admission fees. I'd have gladly paid to visit both.

You're just waiting to blame me for that power cut aren't you? It was the weight of that chapter weighing down the lines. I hope this evenings update of the smut piece doesn't have the same effect.
Very educational blog today if i might say so. And beautifully illustrated with the photos.
Ok enough with the niceties - where the heck is JJ? Sorry bird but the readership - that man and his dog - expect it of me. The same way as they expect us both to ask 'What the heck is wrong with your email buttons people - are your fingers broken or something?'
Don't like to disappoint.

Oh, never disappointing. But, predictable without a doubt. And Jay can't come to the webpage at the moment he's in the middle of an argument, best leave well alone.
And somebody, anybody, please tell the Irish One you’ve read her TWO new stories. You don’t even have to tell her you liked them - just that you were wandering past, minding your own business and noticed them lying there. So you picked them up and were then justifiably shocked at what you read. *Gasp* You haven’t a clue how you managed to find your way to this type of website.
And I promise she’ll even pretend to believe you ;-)
I thought I'd leave feedback here, as you both seem to be here on a regular basis.
I love the story Pooky Verde is working on, and was delighted to see two whole new chapters when I checked this evening! :)
I also really like the JJ story, and the others you've written. I hope you'll be inspired to write some more stories soon. (Maybe more JJ? ::insert hopeful look here::)
Thanks very much for posting all this lovely fiction.
Margaret.
Oi, stop begging them. We don't need their pity comments. We're just going to stop writing that's all. Or stop publishing. I'll still share the boys with you obviously. In snippets, a sentence or two, the same way I'm getting JJ.

Oh Margaret, Thank you. I owe you one. I can tell her to BLOODY WELL SHUT UP MOANING NOW! I may even feel motivated to get the JJ story finished - it's got a beginning and an end, just a bit of an empty space where the middle should be. So.....
And you have to shout at her, it's the only way you get her attention. Very flighty or should that be fighty? the Irish. Never satisfied either. Whatever I do is wrong. Er...how long have you got? I could tell you a thing or two....
Thank you also for the lovely comments, which we honestly both appreciate :-)
Sue
May I just echo the comment of my esteemed writing partner. We really do appreciate it - there are times around here we think it's just us and that man and his dog - the number counter may tell us otherwise but for all we know it could just be the dog resting his paw on the keyboard.
And Margaret, it's taking more than hopeful looks with the Rainbow Slider to get more JJ. I'm threatening her daily. It may work, it may not but it makes me feel better.
And as for the rest of you? See how easy it is to please both the rainbow slider and the one with the funny hat?
Thanks again Margaret. When I stop publishing the boys story here I'll obviously send the updates over to you because you used the comment box. Same goes to the six of you who emailed. The rest of you can go whistle.

She's got such a lovely way with words, hasn't she? Her comments really encourage you to write to her, no hint of the Irish Temper either. No sign of any showing off, pouting, stamping or slaming doors.
Now has anyone got a really big stick so I can beat some sense into her?
Oh you and whose army?
You were supposed to go in and explain to Margaret that our emails had crossed and I wasn't in any way implying that hers was a pity email. And that I was very grateful. But no you had to go and have a stir, didn't you? And you have the cheek to call me predictable. Huh. Huh with bells on.
Pooksx
just seeing if your instructions work!
And yeah - don't have to be angry anonymous person anymore I can be angry pooks instead!
